mentorship
Not every entry is easy to write. I usually just sit down and wait for God to give me some inspiration.....
This evening felt like Friday instead of Thursday. We are both off tomorrow so it is easy to get your days mixed up.
I read a scripture today that I want to share with you.....
"Lord, have mercy on my son, he said. He has seizures and is suffering greatly. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him....Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment." Matthew 19:15,16,18
Just a be healed prayer didn't work. Jesus rebuked the "demon" and the boy was healed. How many of us are praying incorrectly (just because we don't know)?
It goes back to mentorship. How many of us are being shown how to do for God? The disciples prayed but Jesus showed them another way....he taught them. Learn by example.
How many of us have an example to go by?
How many of us want to be His disciple?
The truth is the church isn't be taught. Most pastors don't even know. They aren't being mentored either. We want to put to much responsibility on the pastor. He can't do it all. It is why he needs "Godly men" to help him. And by Godly men I don't mean just making do with what you got. If your deacons are no different then the world, how can they mentor anyone?
The church is in a mess. But the bible says Jesus is coming after a Bride that has made herself ready. We aren't ready yet.....
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Revelation 19:7
Jesus is preparing the way......

amen!
New leaders need mentorship as well.
The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses,
entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Tim. 2:2
